Artists Using House Guitars
"Dear Guitar Players:
For those of you who know me and my music, you are aware of my many years of touring and recording. For those who are unfamiliar, I have been 35 years a guitarist, and 27 of those spent touring the world.
I've had some fine instruments slung around my neck in my time, and still own many of them today. That's why I was so intrigued the first time I met Joshua House and played his instruments. Here's a young man with a fresh and commanding vision of how guitars should be made, and how they should sound. His craftsmanship is without peer, and the tone and projection of these instruments is stunning. How he has packed so much experience into such a short life is a mystery, but he builds guitars with the unerring skill of someone twice his age.
I was overwhelmed when he chose me last year to be his first major endorsee. The JP Cormier Signature Model is a guitar for the true guitar player. It is quick and subtle with plenty of power available when you need it. It's sort of like driving a great sports car: put the hammer down, and watch 'er go!! Visually, it is a masterpiece that stands easily alongside builders like Laskin, Manzer, Beneteau, etc.
Joshua's selection of tonewoods is pure genius and is utilized with meticulous precision. In short, this is an instrument that I would heartily recommend to anyone who is looking for that 'rest of your life' guitar.
If you see me with my House, feel free to ask me about it or even play it. You won't be disappointed but you will be surprised!
Here's to a young man at the very forefront of the new generation of Canadian builders. Buy one now, before they get too expensive!!!"
"Nothing sounds as big as a House"

About JP Cormier
"...one of the most important guitar players of his generation." Chet Atkins, referring to JP Cormier
At the age of 5, JP began teaching himself to play the guitar. At 9, he won his first guitar competition against 30 other players 4 times his age. By his mid teens, he was playing a variety of stringed instruments, including the fiddle, mandolin and banjo. He recorded his first album of bluegrass instrumentals at 16, which led to 10 years of living and performing in the US. His time there included many memorable nights at the Grand Ole Opry with artists such as Waylon Jennings, Marty Stuart, Earl Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Charlie Louvin and Vince Gill.
Since returning to Canada, JP has released over a dozen award-winning albums. His impressive body of work has earned him a loyal fan base and multiple award nominations and wins. He continues to dazzle and delight audiences while performing 250 shows a year. JP's complete bio can be viewed here.
I (Josh) first met JP at a guitar festival in 2006. It was an honour to meet one of the guitarists I had admired for many years, and a lot of fun to watch him try out some of my instruments. JP and I continued to correspond over the next few years, and in the fall of 2008, he took delivery of the first JP Cormier Signature Grand Auditorium.
I am very proud to have JP endorsing my instruments, not only because he is a great player but also because he is willing to take a stand against a culture that is more and more consumed by self-centered political correctness. The down-to-earth common sense that is so lacking in today's society is continually communicated through the messages in JP's songs.
Check out JP's official website for more information about him and his music. And be sure to check the tour dates to see if JP will be performing in your area.
