The bouzouki is coming right along and is just about ready for the finish. The necks still need to be carved and the body bound in these picture.

Construction is well underway on one of the most unique instruments that I have ever built. It is a double-neck bouzouki (12-string/8-string) being built for Brian McNeill. Brian currently travels with two instruments when he is on tour, and the goal with this new instrument is to combine them into one. This bouzouki has presented a long list of new challenges that I have had to work through. There are so many things that would normally be done when making a single-neck instrument that simply don't work on a double-neck design. This will also be my first carved-top instrument.

I've wanted one of these for years. I have the very first Sobell large body, short scale cittern that he made for me in 1981, as well as a Sobell 10 string and a Sobell guitar. Having a twin neck like this .......wow! the potential for current song arrangements for the band would be greatly extended. Want one!!!!! 6/8 string version.
