Ordering Information

Highly-customized Guitars:

I am open to considering custom/one of a kind instruments. However I will only take on a custom project if I believe the instrument will be successful (good playability, sound and looks). There are also certain appointments and features which I require to be on all my instruments. Please contact me to discuss ideas you have for your one of a kind instrument. My standard price list does not apply to these type of instruments. Please contact me to get a quote. 50% deposit is required when ordering this kind of instrument.

Customer Supplied Materials:

Occasionally a customer will want to provide wood or other materials for use on their guitar. I am open to doing this under the following conditions. No discount will be given for any materials provided by the customer. If for any reason during the building process the provided materials turn out to be unusable the customer will be responsible to provide new replacements and/or pay 100% of the replacement cost.

Payment:

A 30% deposit is required upon placing an order, and the balance must be paid before the customer receives the instrument. The deposit amount may be increased according to the number of custom options.

All prices are in US funds and are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include tax. Payment may be made in Canadian funds and will be calculated at the current exchange at the time of payment. All shipping, tax and import cost are the responsibility of the customer.

Cancellation:

If you decide for any reason to cancel your order within 7 days of placing it, I will refund to you the deposit amount less $250 (administration fee), no questions asked. If you should cancel after 7 days of placing your order, you will receive a refund upon the completion and sale of your instrument to another customer.

Delivery Dates:

When I receive your deposit, your order is given the next available spot on my building list. I will then give you an idea of when you may expect your order to be complete, though this due date serves only as a general guideline. While I do my best to build every instrument in a timely manner, I occasionally run into unforeseen difficulties (back-ordered parts, etc.), which may cause a delay. I will gladly keep you updated on the timing and building progress of your instrument. The current wait time for one of my guitars is approximately 4-6 months.

Satisfaction Guarantee:

In the event that you are dissatisfied with your guitar due to any clear and easily definable major issue you have 3 days to notify me after receiving the instrument. If the problem cannot be corrected than I will either re-build the guitar or fully refund your payment after I am able to resell the guitar. For this to take place the guitar must be returned to me in new condition. All shipping charges are the customers responsibility. This policy only applies to guitars purchased directly from House Guitars. Instrument purchased through dealers are subject to their return policy.

Limited Lifetime Warranty:

Unless otherwise noted all instruments built by Joshua House of House Guitars are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship to the original owner of the instrument. This warranty is subject to limitations and is valid only as long as I, Joshua, remain active as a luthier. Please contact me for more information regarding my warranty terms and conditions.
