Repair Pricing
Most of the repair work I get is for guitars but I have also worked on mandolins, violins and even some banjos. Contact me for a quote on any repairs which are not listed below. The turn-around time for minor repair work is usually 1–2 weeks. Major repairs, refinishing and restoration work can take considerably longer. Prices are in Canadian Dollars.

Rush Fee - $25 below $100, 25% above $100
2–3 day service when available
Re-string - $10 ($20 for 12–string) + strings
Truss Rod Adjustment - $10
Set-up
Set-up acoustic - $50
Set-up electric - $60
Set-up 12-string - $75
Set-up includes truss rod and intonation adjustment, saddle height adjustment, cleaning and polishing frets and fretboard, tightening loose hardware, spraying and cleaning electronics (electric guitars), pickup height adjustment, polish instrument, re-string (strings not included).
Nut Work – Includes nut material
Pre-made plastic nut - $25
Bone nut from blank - $50 (add $25 for 12-string)
Saddle Work – Includes saddle material
Plastic saddle - $25
Bone saddle from blank - $50
Bone saddle from blank with compensation - $75
Fret Work
Complete fret dressing (leveling) and re-crown all frets - $125 plus set-up
Partial re-fret - $100 and up, plus set-up
Full re-fret - $400 and up, plus set-up (based on type of instrument)
Bridge Work
Bridge shave - $40
Re-glue acoustic bridge - $75
New custom bridge - $200+
Finishing and Re-finishing (Colour finish work no longer offered as of August, 2010)
I offer Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish work in Gloss and Satin.
Gloss finish bolt on style neck - $250

Repair pricing is subject to change without notice. All labour rates are based on a $50/hour bench fee. Parts and tax are not included in prices unless noted. And yes, you must pay taxes even if you pay in cash.
